Grandma Agnes' Ginger Molasses Cookies
Mix together in big bowl:1/4 c. canola oil
1/2 c. butter (soft or melted)
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
Mix together in smaller bowl then add to wet:
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Chill batter. Roll in to small balls. Roll in more white sugar. Place on cookie sheet (non-stick, parchment paper, or greased) Flatten slightly with fork. Bake 8-12 minutes at 350 degrees (just until they are not shiny and are slightly cracked).
